National BCYW Awareness Chapter Serving Families of The Forces, Campuses, & Workplace Communities, India

Colonel Mayank Chaubey (Retd) served the Indian Army with distinction for over 30 years, including key diplomatic assignments with the Ministry of External Affairs and a consultancy at the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service. A recognized expert in military strategy and diplomacy, he has also led nationwide health initiatives for veterans as Director of a nonprofit organization. Continuing his commitment to public service, Colonel Chaubey has now undertaken a pioneering initiative to advance the core mission of the Breast Cancer in Young Women Foundation. This program aims to raise targeted awareness about breast health and early detection of breast cancer among young women—particularly within the families of serving personnel and veterans, as well as in university and college campuses, training institutes, and workplaces that primarily employ young women. The initiative was formally inaugurated on July 18, 2025, at the Uttarakhand Sub-Area Military Station in India.

Dr. Kirti Agnihotri Misra, MS (Neurosurgery), PhD, is a neurosurgeon with over 25 years of experience. She served in war zones with the United Nations Peacekeeping Forces, performing complex brain surgeries under extreme conditions. Currently on leave in New Delhi from her diplomatic role with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Dr. Misra brings both medical expertise and personal resilience to her mission. A survivor of endometrial cancer, she advocates a holistic approach to healing, grounded in timely screenings, lifestyle change, and food as medicine.
