About the chapter
Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center (Massey) was founded in 1974 and received its initial NCI designation the following year. In 2023, Massey was recognized as an NCI-designated ‘Comprehensive’ Cancer Center. Massey’s mission is to be the first of a new generation of community-focused cancer centers, where world-class science and research is informed by the people we serve, and accessible for all.
